TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:
1 Chronicles 4:10
Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, "Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain." And God granted his request. (NIV)
TODAY’S WORD:
The message in Jabez’s short but intense prayer has been the bases of many aggressive prayers for change nowadays. A critical look at the story reveals that the first stage or a total deliverance begins with acknowledgement of one’s status. Brethren lets learn from Jabez. In Hebrew, Jabez (yabez) means pain. He realized there is no how he could be delivered without looking inward. What do you think is out of place in your life? What is that thing that has been occurring concurrently in your lineage? When you look inward, what do you see? Is it a lineage of repeated struggling, pain, disappointment, sickness, delay, untimely death, or failure? How angry, tired or appalled are you about it? Jabez looked and saw that his problem was attached to his name. The bible says he not only prayed but “he cried out to the Lord.”
Brethren, you have put up with you pain enough, you have managed it for too long. It is time to cry out, cry as if your life depends on it. Say it loud and put your foot down, as if, you have your accuser or tormentor right in your front. Say what you don’t want. Jabez prayed that the circumstances that characterized his birth and led to his name would not characterize his life. God answered! Jabez did not live up to his name but to God's designation and purpose.
(1) He cried; (2) He asked - bless me; (3) He was specific-enlarge my border, your hand be with me, keep me from harm.
PRAYER POINTS:
1. Oh God, I cry out against every pain attached to my birth and name in Jesus name
2. I reject every curse placed upon me from birth in Jesus name
3. Let Your countenance of blessings be upon me
4. I am due for enlargement, promotion, marriage, sponsorship, upliftment; God celebrate me
5. Let the world see Your hand working for me and in me
6. Keep me from every evil agenda
7. Keep me from all harm slated for every day of my life
